Deborah Tanen Articles - Debunked

Deborah Tanen Articles - DebunkedDeborah Tanen is an award winning author of two debatable essay samp books. I read both her debatable essay samp books Debated and Debunked, and Debating which I bought on recommendation by my high school history teacher. I have to say I didn't feel like she really wanted to disprove that the real reason the United States of America came to be was because of slavery and I guess a lot of others felt the same way.If you have heard of the American Revolution for instance and you are wondering why the British didn't just leave, well you will understand why those who were slaves in America couldn't vote and why it was a good idea to give the slaves so much freedom and so many opportunities that in the end they fought and won the war. Deborah Tanen makes a strong argument as to why this has happened. She starts off with her Two Debated Essay same book, Debunked, which I bought because it wasn't published yet. She says that in this essay said she is going to tell you why there are slavery and segregation today, and how she believes the world has gone completely insane. She then says in Debunked that women didn't fight for the right to vote. She says that in this essay said she's going to show you that women in America have never been given the chance to vote. Women cannot vote and slavery was okay because it was natural for them to be slaves. She says that by saying that women should not be allowed to vote is an insult to all women, and she also says that if you think that slavery is okay because it was how society used to be you are a hypocrite and don't really care about human rights and equality. She then goes on to Debunked, an essay samp in which she talks about how the list of human rights has grown in recent years, and how they must have to be improved upon. She says that some countries do oppress their citizens but doesn't want to say how these countries treat their citizens. The United States is one of the most 'free societies' i n the world today, and what the world needs is more of that.In the first part of Debunks Deborah Tanen then talks about how slavery didn't stop until after the Civil War was over. She explains that it's quite possible that slavery was never abolished because Americans were finally able to look at people of all races as equals. In Debunks Deborah Tanen her thesis is that it was slavery and not blacks that were the problem and slavery was never brought down by the blacks themselves but the only way to do it was to bring people into the race, and the way to do that was through laws, and by education. In the second part of Debunks Deborah Tanen's essay samp she explains that this is a great thing because people now know about the evils of slavery and that must be stopped, so people aren't forced to work for little pay and food. The truth is that women and children are far more likely to be affected by poverty than anyone else.I found Debunks Deborah Tanen's essay some interesting but I a lso found it rather sad that some Americans still believe in such things as slavery. Isn't it sad to see your nation of giants turning into a pile of trash? I guess the question is whether or not it will ever happen.
